Humanistic exploration of your life goals and values. Concrete strategies for change.

We all experience periods in our lives when we develop patterns we can’t seem to break, weighed down by negative emotions, or disconnected from the life we want to be living.

Therapy can help.

With guided reflection, the right tools, and committed action life can feel more manageable and more purposeful.

Before completing my Master of Social Work at the University of Chicago, I earned masters degrees in both Genetics and Religious Studies, and a PhD in the History of Science and Medicine at Yale University.

My interdisciplinary background deepens my social work commitment to the whole person — to honor and explore the biology, development, emotions, beliefs, values, environment, and history of each client, the multitude of dimensions that makes each problem situation unique.

I became a therapist because I wanted to bring that curiosity and depth to the work of helping people change their lives in meaningful ways.

I have honed my integrative approach to therapy through over 10 years of counseling experience, specializing in the whole range of anxiety disorders and depression.

How I Approach Therapy

My integrative approach blends evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) with mindfulness, insight-oriented exploration, and elements of existential psychotherapy to discover new ways of thinking and acting that help you over time feel more grounded, lighter, and more intentional.

I am collaborative and experimental, working with you to find the right mix of approaches that best fit your personality and life circumstances.

During our sessions, we will work together not only to develop concrete strategies to manage everyday stress, but also to zoom out from your daily problems and reflect upon your core life goals and values .

A cozy corner in a living room with sunlight coming through a window, casting shadows on a pale green wall. There is a light-colored armchair with wooden legs, a small round wooden side table with a cup, a few books, and a vintage-style lamp. A large plant with dried leaves is placed near the window.

Who I work with

I specialize in helping those who feel stuck in unhelpful patterns or overburdened with negative emotions. My clients are often:

  • Adults navigating anxiety, stress, or persistent worry and depression

  • Individuals experiencing intrusive thoughts or compulsive patterns (including OCD and panic disorder)

  • People going through major life transitions or periods of uncertainty

  • Individuals who are seeking a more reflective, insight-oriented approach that balances action with reflection, change with learning.
